Highlights: NYC 1, Montreal 1

The Montreal Impact came to town on a very chilly New York afternoon, and managed to eke out a draw.

Wallace scored his second goal in as many games. Good determined work from the Rodfather, and he came over to celebrate in our corner.

Frustrating to let them back into the game, as Montreal gets their equalizer in the 67th minute.

Couple notes:
  • Jonathan Lewis made his professional debut, being subbed on in the 78th minute.
  • Another notable debut: the new blue shorts.
Next up is an international break, then the Quakes come to town on April 1st. Hope it's a little warmer then.

Highlights: NYC 4, DC United 0

Now that's more like it.

Two goals from our Captain, with Rodney Wallace, and Maxi Moralez each contributing one of their own.

An electric atmosphere in Yankee Stadium, and a dominating performance from our boys. This could be one hell of a season.

Farewell, Mix

It's over - NYCFC has found a new home for Mix Diskerud, loaning him to IFK Göteborg in Sweden's Allsvenskan league.

This news is a bit bittersweet. Mix came in to our club with high hopes all around; we were getting a promising young star (without sacrificing a DP spot), and by playing in MLS he would be able to solidify his place in the US Mens National Team. And those hopes seemed to be paying off when he scored the first goal in NYCFC history. But things started to sour shortly afterwards, and it's been clear for a long time that Mix doesn't figure in to Patrick Vieira's plans for the squad. Now he's able to find a place where he'll get more playing time, and we can move on.

He remains under contract with MLS, and could return to the US when his loan expires in August. But until then, lykke til, Mix. You'll always be a Pigeon to me.

NYCFC opened the league season in Orlando, as the Lions' first opponent in their new stadium.

Good thing it's a long season.
